Breaking News: Tiger Woods Wins U.S. Open

For the 14th time Tiger Woods has won a major, as he beat Rocco Mediate in a sudden-death playoff hole to win the U.S. Open. It is his 7th win at Torrey Pines, and is 14-0 when leading after 54 holes. More to come later.

Yankees' Wang Out For At Least Six Weeks

The New York Yankees ace pitcher Chien-Ming Wang is going to be sidelined for at least the next six weeks after suffering a partially torn tendon and a sprained right foot while running from second base to home plate during the final game in a three game series the Yankees had vs the Astros (the Yankees went on to win that game 13-0). He will be wearing a protective boot and be on crutches for the next six weeks.

So far this season Wang is 8-2 with a 4.07 ERA. At this point in time it is uncertain who will replace Wang in the line up.
