Rondo not 100% for Game 4

If you looked closely into the stands at the Staples Center while watching Game 3 Tuesday, you may have seen Admiral Ackbar sitting in the front row. As Rajon Rondo was booking it downcourt to try and score you could see Ackbar in the stands jumping up and down shouting, "ITS A TRAP! ITS A TRAP!". But Rondo didn't see the Admiral's warning. As Rondo approached the 3 point mark on the Lakers side of the court, he stepped on the foot of a Laker, fell, rolled his ankle, and was taken off of the court. Rondo says he only feels 50% and doesn't seem he will be doing much if any in Thursday's crucial Game 4, where either the Lakers will tie it, or the Celtics will become one win away from their first championship in 21 years. "Uncle Sam" Cassel will most likely be starting at Pointguard in Thursday's game, with Eddie House likely to fill in at times. Rondo won't play much if he plays at all.

A. Silverman's Take on Ozzie Guillen

Chicago-- Ozzie Guillen may seem like a mental patient at times, but give credit where credit is due. Ozzie led the White Sox to the 2005 World Series and currently has the White Sox in first place in the American League Central, a division thought to field two different playoff worthy teams, the Tigers and the Indians. After Guillen's tirade more than a week ago, the White Sox won 7 games in a row before finally losing a close game last night to the Tigers. Guillen went as far in his tirade as to blame General Manager Kenny William's for the team's awful offense. At the time, Guillen's outburst seemed ill-advised, considering the White Sox were over .500 and sitting in first place at the time as well. Guillen, however, has shown an ability to pick his spots and it is obvious that he is responsible for his team's revamped performance.

Ozzie is a man with a World Series ring. His team sits in first place in what now appears to be a very winnable division. The Tigers and Indians both appear to be a disaster, and their current closest competitor is the lowly Twins, who are 3 games under .500. It appears that no one will catch the White Sox, who were not considered serious Wild Card contenders during spring training.

Guillen has this team playing great, without any true stars. Jim Thome and Paul Konerko are past their prime, and Jermaine Dye has only 26 RBIs to speak of. Mark Buehrle has been less than an ace with a 3-6 win-loss record. Guillen has brought this team together and has gotten the most out of what he has.

Ozzie has been asking for respect for years, for both his Southside ball club, and himself. His tactics and their positive affects on his team are proof enough that he deserves what he is asking for. So next time you hear Ozzie go off (again), we know you won't be surprised, but don't be quick to judge either. Give him a week, then we'll talk.

Tiger Says Knee is, "Ready to Go."

With only one day until the US Open, Tiger Woods has claimed that his surgically repaired knee is "Ready to Go." Tiger has not played since the beginning of the season, but already has 2 wins out of 5 events played. His first day pairing will be alongside Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott, one that many are calling a dream pairing. It is odd for the PGA to make one like that, as they do not usually occur until at least the 3rd round. It will sure be interesting to watch.
