Well Cavaliers fans, I have some bad news for you. LeBron James was in New York for a Team USA Press Conference today, and he made it no secret of his intentions leave the Cavs for the 2010 Season.
James was asked by a reporter of which his favorite city in the world was, and instantly he answered with ,"New York." To make matters worse, when asked what his favorite borough in the city was, he replied with what is perhaps the confirmation that all New York Sports Fans want to hear: "Brooklyn." For those of you who are unaware, the New Jersey Nets are supposed to move to Brooklyn by the 2010 season. If this move is blocked however, LeBron could change his answer to East Rutherford, NJ (The current residence of the Nets). He is great friends with Nets Part-Owner Jay-Z, which would make the move even more likely. Alongside that, the Nets made a huge draft day trade to dump star F Richard Jefferson, and have cleared enough room for a King James arrival. Although there is still plenty of time until 2010, do not be surprised to see more developments throughout the next year.
