With only eight races to go until the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins, Kurt Busch in his #2 Miller Lite Dodge car wins a rain-shortened Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at Loudon, New Hampshire. After the race, Kurt Busch said, "We weren't the fastest car, and we didn't deserve to win, but the record book will show that we won the Lenox 301." There was a chance he might have run out of fuel had the race gone the full 301 laps, but mother nature allowed the race to stop after 284 laps, giving Busch his first win of this season and his 18th career win.
As of right now, Kurt's younger brother Kyle Busch leads all drivers in the Sprint Cup Series standings, leading by 64 points over Jeff Burton. Sitting 480 points behind Kyle Busch in 12th place is Jeff Burton's teammate Kevin Harvick, who gained a position to get back in contention for the Chase.
