David Ortiz out for All-Star Game

Red Sox slugger David Ortiz will be at the All-Star Game in New York this July, but he will not be playing due to his injured left wrist. “I’m going to go to the All-Star game. Show respect for the fans,” said Ortiz. “I’m not going to be able to play.” Ortiz was supposed to call his shot at the Home Run Derby this year, but obviously won't be doing so. The funny thing is that NYY's Hideki Matsui is also injured and may be in need of surgery. He is 2nd in voting for Designated Hitter, but if he can't make it either, the DH position may be anyone's game.
